Experience:
Mr. Paul has fourteen years of legal experience. After graduating
from law school in 1992, Mr. Paul served as a judicial
law
clerk for the Honorable Joseph F. Wieners and the Honorable
John S. Gowan, Judges of the Olmsted County District Court,
in Rochester, Minnesota. Mr. Paul then moved to the Twin
Cities and worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable
William
B. Christensen, Judge of Hennepin County District Court,
until he entered into the private practice of law in September,
1993.
Practice Areas:
Mr. Paul practices primarily in the area of Family Law, including
marriage dissolution, paternity, custody, visitation, child
support, spousal maintenance, property division, domestic
abuse and adoptions.
Educational
Background:
Mr. Paul received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University
of Winnipeg, with a major in history and a minor in biology.
He received his law degree from University of North Dakota School
of Law in May, 1992, and was admitted to the practice of law
in the State of Minnesota in October, 1992. Mr. Paul was on
the Board of Editors of the North Dakota Law Review for the
1991-1992 academic year.
Affiliations:
Mr. Paul is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association
and the Hennepin County Bar Association. He is an instructor at the Minnesota School of Business (Richfield campus). Mr. Paul also
serves as a Conciliation Court Judge in Hennepin County and
as an investigator for the District Ethics Committee in Hennepin
County.
Mr. Paul was named to the list of "Who's Who in Family
Law" by Minnesota Law and Politics magazine in 2003, 2004 and
2006 and was selected as a SuperLawyer by the magazine in
2003, 2006 and 2007, which is a list of the top 6% of all attorneys in Minnesota.
